Pharmacy and nursing students to administer health screenings in rural Alaska
This March, students from 蘑菇视频鈥檚 pharmacy and nurse practitioner programs will travel to Pilot Station and Akiak to administer free health screenings to Head Start students and the wider community. This trip is the first of two planned to rural Alaska communities each year, one in spring and another in fall, referred to as Project Partnership for Alaska鈥檚 Kids (PAK).

To students in 蘑菇视频 Justice Center instructor Glen Klinkhart鈥檚 Criminal Investigation course, the end of the semester is, quite literally, murder. For his lab practicum, Klinkhart鈥攁 homicide detective, true crime author, and computer forensics expert鈥攕tages the scene of his own murder in a 蘑菇视频 lecture hall and challenges the budding investigators in his class to solve the crime.

鈥淚 never thought I would be involved in philanthropy, but after gaining an in-depth understanding of the program and working with Dr. Tina DeLapp, I decided to establish an endowment to the Recruitment and Retention of Alaska Natives into Nursing (RRANN), as a beneficiary of my modest estate.鈥�
