Join USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ

USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ is recognized by the University of Alaska Board of Regents as the official governing body for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students. Members of USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ have the opportunity to develop leadership and advocacy skills while representing the interests and needs of the student body. Through their work, USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ members provide input on university policies, procedures, and programs, and help shape the student experience at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ.

In addition to governance, USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ plays an active role in coordinating campus activities that foster community and connection. Members also serve on various boards, committees, and task forces that contribute to university decision-making processes impacting students, faculty, and staff.

Election or Petition

Students interested in holding positions in USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ may run for election. Elections are held each year in the spring semester. See USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Elections to learn more.

To petition onto the USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Assembly for a delegate, senator, Green Fee Board, Concert Board, or Media Board seat, complete the and the membership eligibility form.

Presidential Appointments

Students may also be appointed to certain positions by the USÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ President. See Presidential Appointments for more information.
