Minor in Sociology

The Minor in Sociology provides students with a fundamental understanding of social institutions, human relationships, and the forces that shape our daily lives. The course of study complements degrees in disciplines across the university by encouraging students to apply sociological concepts to see beyond the individual experiences to discover the broader patterns that shape our society and public policy. Drawing from coursework in multiple disciplines, the minor builds an interdisciplinary perspective of social factors that influence human experience and interaction.
