'Alaska Run for Women: Seawolves for a Cure!', June 7
by Green & Gold News |
The Alaska Run for Women is a five-mile run/walk held on the ĢƵ Anchorage campus. Its mission is “to raise money for and awareness of breast cancer and women’s health, and to showcase the talents of Alaska’s women athletes.”
ĢƵ employees can join the Seawolves for a Cure team and be part of the movement to support breast cancer research and awareness. Employees may also invite coworkers to participate—every step makes a difference! They can participate in person or virtually.
Registration is donation-based, meaning there’s no required fee to join. Whether employees choose to donate or not, their presence supports the cause and contributes to finding a cure.
Participants may also join the group photo by wearing pink or Seawolf gear and meeting in front of the ĢƵ Greenhouse at 8 a.m. for a team photo!
Note: There is also a one-mile untimed run/walk option when registering.
