In-Person Daily Schedule
The academies' daily schedule is from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Students must be dropped off no earlier than 7:45am and picked up no later than 3:15 pm. A lunch break will be taken around 11:30 am, lunches are not provided please send your student with a lunch. We will be providing 2 light snacks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). A short recess period is held directly after lunch, ending at about 1:00 pm. Please ensure that students are dressed for the weather. Students spend the rest of the day either in their assigned classrooms, in nearby labs, or on occasional field trips to other parts of campus.
On Wednesdays, students go on a field trip from about 10:45 am to 1:30 pm. Before or after lunch, students will also view a film at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Planetarium. If students need assistance with the walk, please inform us as soon as possible.
On Fridays, parents, friends, and family are welcome to enjoy lunch with the students at 12:00 pm. After lunch, we invite everyone to walk back to the assigned classroom to watch the final competitions or exhibitions held from about 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Depending on the academy, the competition or exhibition may end before 3:00 pm. However, we ask all students to help with clean-up before they leave. Once clean-up is complete on Friday, students are welcome to leave early. There is no requirement that family members be present for lunch or the competition, but we highly encourage it. There is ample research suggesting that family involvement in extracurricular activities and STEM learning increases academic success.
Please note that this is a generic schedule. Each camp may have slightly different timing for lunch, recess, and other activities. If you need to pick up your child early or drop them off late, please inform us. You can reach us at 907-786-1910.
