INDUSTRY-RECOGNIZED HEALTH & SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS
ACRH-HW provides elite certification trainings to strengthen Alaska’s healthcare workforce. Our programs support workforce development and community safety through nationally recognized training in mental health response, life support, and de-escalation strategies.
MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA)
Adult, Youth, and Teen MHFA teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. This program is critical for anyone wishing to support individuals in crisis until professional help is obtained.
Adult MHFA is for those supporting the general population, while Youth & Teen versions are specifically tailored for adult educators and peer-to-peer teen support.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
The Alaska AHEC Program provides American Heart Association BLS training. Courses teach participants to recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
HeartCode (Healthcare Professionals)
HeartSaver (Community / Staff)
Class Limit: 12 Participants
ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (CALS)
CALS provides advanced providers with hands-on training in lifesaving skills used in rural and remote emergency care settings. Training includes interactive simulations in cardiac, trauma, pediatric, obstetric, and neonatal emergencies.
